The International Naturist Federation held its 40th World Congress in Kecskemét from 24 to 26 September, following a EuNat meeting on 23 September. The federation describes the congress as its supreme governing body, where member federations debate policy, submit motions and elect central-committee officers. It was the first INF-FNI World Congress held in Hungary and coincided with the twentieth anniversary of the Federation of Naturists of Hungary. At publication time, the public congress page still sets out the programme rather than reporting adopted decisions, so this issue does not infer an outcome.
Mexico’s International Representation Has Changed — but Not Everywhere

The Latin American Naturist Commission, CLANAT, recognised the Organización Nudista de México as Mexico’s regional representative in September. The international picture is not settled: INF-FNI president Stéphane Deschênes told Planet Nude that the federation had not recognised a new Mexican member and was speaking with several groups. Mexico therefore has a confirmed new voice within CLANAT while its representation at INF-FNI remains open.

New signage at Sandy Bay in Cape Town prohibits both nudity and sexual misconduct, reopening the dispute over a beach long associated with clothing-optional use. Naturist advocate Marthinus Pretorius is challenging the prohibition with the South African Naturist Association and the Western Cape Naturist Association. The report also records a useful local distinction: one resident objected to sexual activity in the dunes, not to nudism itself.
