What paid membership makes possible, what waits inside, and why I am asking now
On this first day of Autumn, I would rather spend this letter telling you about a new naturist story, a book taking shape, or one of those small moments when living naked makes the day feel simpler and more honest. Asking for money is less comfortable.
But The Nude House cannot become a durable naturist publishing house if I never explain clearly what keeps it alive. So this is a small, direct ask, not a manufactured emergency and not a sales trick.

The Honest Number
At the latest verified snapshot available while I am drafting this, Nude & Happy has `2,621` free subscribers and `60` paid members.
I am grateful for every one of them. Sixty people choosing to pay for independent naturist writing is not nothing. Their support already gives this work more time, continuity and seriousness than it could have as a private hobby squeezed into whatever hours remain.
It is also a small foundation for the house I am trying to build.
My working goal is to reach `100` paid members by the end of 2026. Not because a round number has any magic in it, but because that level of support would make the writing, editing, book development and member resources far more sustainable. It would allow The Nude House to plan with continuity instead of treating every new object as an isolated effort.
The free readership is already here. The question is whether enough readers want to help the deeper room remain alive.
What Your Membership Makes Possible
Paid membership buys time.
Time to write and revise an essay until it says something true. Time to let a story develop across several episodes instead of ending just as its world becomes interesting. Time to reconcile a manuscript, prepare a proper proof, build a useful guide, and turn the strongest work into a book worth keeping.
It also supports the free work.
The public Nude & Happy articles remain the open doors of the house. They help new readers approach naturism, answer practical fears, make body comfort feel possible and give experienced naturists language for a life they already know. I want those doors to stay open.
Paid members are not paying so that everyone else can be locked out. They are helping the whole publishing house continue while receiving a deeper, closer experience inside it. That distinction matters to me, as my goal is to dedicate 100% of my time to the Nude House in the foreseeable future, and being able to live a 100% naturist life.
What Members Receive
The Inner Room is where naturist worlds come alive through stories and books.
The current membership promise is concrete:
- at least four paid pieces each month, normally published on Sunday;
- continuing fiction and recurring story worlds rather than disconnected posts;
- deeper founder letters and reflective essays that can be more personal, intimate and decisive than the public blog;
- case notes, bonus scenes, editorial letters and behind-the-book material when they genuinely deepen the work;
- the paid archive and growing Subscriber Library;
- one monthly designed guide or short book, delivered to members as a PDF and EPUB before it follows a separate path toward Amazon.
The monthly short book is an important addition.
The first is The First Hour Without Armor, a 24-page guide built around one of the strongest questions I hear from people approaching naturism: what actually happens during that first hour, once the practical advice has been given and the body is still learning that it does not need to defend itself?
The PDF and EPUB exist and have passed their production checks. They are available for a fee as ebook and paperback on Amazon, and paid members have received the PDF.
That is the kind of membership I want to build: not a larger pile of posts, but a living reading room with stories to follow, ideas to deepen and useful objects to keep.
Why Not Put Everything Behind the Paywall?
Because naturist knowledge should remain discoverable.
A nervous beginner should not have to pay before learning how to choose a respectful place, carry a towel, understand etiquette, talk to a partner or recognize that their body does not need to be perfected before they begin.
The free work should provide real value. It should answer the essential `what` and `why` without holding safety, dignity or basic help hostage.
The paid room goes further. It offers continuity, intimacy, practical depth and a closer relationship with the books and story worlds being made. Free readers can visit the house. Paid members help inhabit it.
Both belong here.
Why I Am Asking Now
The Nude House has reached the point where the promise is clearer than it was a few months ago.
There is a weekly paid rhythm. There are continuing fiction worlds. There are deeper member essays. There is a growing library. There is now a monthly short-book format designed to give members something substantial they can download, read away from the feed and keep.
The work has become more concrete. The invitation should become more concrete too.

What I Will Owe You
A paid subscription is not a donation followed by silence.
It creates an obligation on my side: to publish with care, keep the cadence visible, make the paid work genuinely more substantial, finish the objects I promise, and tell you the truth when something is delayed or still in review.
I will not ask membership to compensate for vague work. The Inner Room has to earn its place in your month.
That is why the monthly guide matters. That is why recurring fiction matters. That is why the House structure matters. The promise is not simply “more content.” It is continuity: a naturist publishing world that readers can return to and help shape while it is still growing.
