It all kicked off for me years ago on a Greek beach. I’d heard about naturist spots there—quiet coves where clothes were optional—and curiosity won. I stripped down, heart pounding, and lay in the sun. The warm sand, the sea breeze everywhere, no damp swimsuit clinging… instant freedom. No one stared, no judgment—just people living naturally. That day changed everything.
From there, I started looking for naked beaches and being naked at home. Simple stuff: after work, ditch the clothes, cook dinner, watch TV, sleep bare. The comfort was addictive—no restrictions, better airflow, deeper relaxation. Then I took it outside: started hiking naked on remote trails. Feeling the sun and wind on every inch while walking through forests or up hills? Pure bliss. No chafing gear, total connection to nature.
And then the virus hit hard, Nude and Happy, this blog, started. A few years down the line, lockdowns kept us indoors, but for me, it cemented nudism deeper. With nowhere to go, I stayed nude 24/7 at home—it kept me sane. Less laundry, more comfort, a sense of rebellion against the stress. When restrictions eased, those naked hikes became my therapy. Research backs this: studies during the pandemic showed naturists coped better with isolation, reporting lower anxiety and higher well-being thanks to body positivity and nature immersion.
That’s my story—no fluff. Nudism gave me confidence, peace, and joy I never had clothed. The benefits are real:
- Body acceptance skyrockets. Seeing and being seen as you are erases shame. That Goldsmiths University study? It holds up—naturists score way higher on self-esteem.
- Health boosts. Vitamin D floods in, skin breathes, stress melts. Naked hiking adds cardio without sweat-trapped clothes.
- True equality and connection. No status symbols—just humans chatting freely.
- Eco-friendly bonus. Less washing, less consumption.
Hesitant? Start where I did: try a secluded or a nude beach if you can travel in nude friendly countries. Or easier—get naked at home tonight. Sleep nude, lounge tomorrow. Feel it for yourself. When ready, find a quiet trail for a short naked walk—early morning, no one around. The rush is unbeatable.

Trust me, once that Greek beach magic hits you like it did me, there’s no going back. The comfort, the freedom—it’s life-changing.

I love being a nudist it is so sad that there are so many people that have been taught all their life’s that being naked is bad
This the way it was for my wife. Very hesitant and fearful at first. After and hour nude at a nude resort she totally changed her mind and has never looked back. Even worked fully nude in the resort office for 3 years. Yes, it’s definitely life changing.
