From Passion to Process: Inside My Naturist Writing Routine

How I built a sustainable and joyful publishing flow to share my naturist journey — and how you can too

People often ask how I manage to write so consistently about naturism — week after week, year after year — while juggling a full-time job and everyday life. The answer? A mix of passion, process, and just enough automation to keep things flowing.

Naturism is more than a lifestyle for me — it’s a lens through which I experience life, confidence, connection, and joy. Writing about it lets me reflect, share, and give back. In this post, I’m sharing exactly how I’ve organised my naturist publishing hobby so that it stays exciting, manageable, and deeply fulfilling.

🔥 Why I Write

I write because I’m passionate about naturism.

Not just being naked and the feeling of it. But, the confidence it builds. The joy it creates, particularly when shared. The calm it brings when I’m alone in nature. Naturism is a social lifestyle and I write to explore all of this — and to answer the questions naturists often ask themselves:
“Is this normal?”
“Am I alone in this?”
“Why does this feel so right?”
“What’s the difference between nudism and naturism?

Writing helps me put these feelings into words, and in doing so, I hope to offer clarity and encouragement to others on the same path.

🌍 Where I Publish

I keep my naturist writing visible across several platforms to meet readers where they are. Here’s where you can find me:

📰 Substack – weekly naturist reflections and fiction for subscribers

🌐 Nude & Happy – my main blog in English

🇫🇷 Nu et Heureux – the French mirror of my blog

🌿 A Naturist World – a naturist community where I regularly share posts

I also write books under the pen name Stan Muir — available on Amazon, and naturist short stories on my paid substack.

    🛠️ How I Work

Over the years, I’ve developed a publishing flow that combines creativity, structure, and smart automation.

    ✍️ Idea to Draft

I work on ideas with ChatGPT — brainstorming, outlining, and refining. Once a draft is solid, it goes into a Google Document for edits and rewrites. I’ve customized ChatGPT with a lot of naturist content so it’s infused with the naturism ethos, including controversies and questions that surround naturism.

    🌐 Translation

After editing the draft, sometimes over multiple sessions, when the English version is ready, I work with ChatGPT again to translate it into French. Both versions are saved in the same doc for convenience.

    🗓️ Planning

When the first draft of the text is created, A Zapier automation logs the article into a Notion database, which serves as my publishing calendar. It allows me to keep track of all posts and ideas (I have generally between 10 and 20 drafts and edited posts), and to spread their publication over time.

    🎨 Image Creation

As the publication date approaches, I use Mage.Space to create an artistic, naturist-themed image to illustrate the post. It’s stored in a Google Drive folder ready for publishing.

    📤 Publishing

    When it’s time:

    • I move  the document and image to a folder that triggers another Zap that create the draft posts in my WordPress English and French blogs.
    • I generally do a final revision directly in the blog editors.
    • Once the text is scheduled for publishing in WordPress, I copy the English version into Substack and ANW, so posts go live across all platforms at nearly the same time. Sometimes I publish it a few hours before on ANW, to give my precious community a primer on the text.

      📚 Stories & Books

For short stories and books, I use Scrivener to organise and structure my writing. It’s my go-to for fiction and longer works, where I need to manage plot, characters, and more. I will probably write more about this in another post as this requires more planning, thoughts and work.

      🤝 Staying Engaged

As I live naturism daily, including in winter, I show up every day on the platforms — not just to write, but to connect.

      • I reply to comments on my blogs, Substack, and ANW.
      • I read what others post and leave comments.
      • I publish:
        • One blog post and short story every week, on average, sometimes two
        • One or two books a year, ideally

That rhythm keeps my creativity flowing without overwhelming me.

⏱️ Saving Time Without Losing the Joy

I wouldn’t be this consistent without two key tools:

      • ChatGPT: For ideation, outlining, translation, and polishing
      • Zapier: For automating the boring stuff — tracking, file moves, publishing prep

Thanks to these, I spend only a few focused hours a week on what used to take much longer — and now I enjoy the process more than ever.

        🧭 For Aspiring Writers

Want to share your naturist voice (or any other voice)? Here’s my no-BS advice:

        • If you’re passionate, go for it. Passion fuels action.
        • Process your work. Break down each step. Know what you’re doing and why.
        • Automate the rest. Use tools like Notion, Zapier, and AI to stay light and fast.
        • Show up daily. Even if it’s just 10 minutes. Creation loves consistency.

          ✨ Final Thoughts

This blog and everything I write is born from a deep belief: that naturism is one of the most empowering lifestyles there is.

Whether you’re just starting to share your thoughts, or thinking about turning your own naturist passion into a creative outlet — I hope this behind-the-scenes look gives you the nudge to begin, and the structure to keep going.
